Respawn has released patch notes for a PC update for Apex Legends. The update is already live and is specifically aimed at fixing game crashes on PC.
"The game should now write an apex_crash.txt file to your My Documents folder when it breaks." Resonwn community manager Jay Frechette wrote in a Reddit blog post. "The apex_crash.txt files we got from the players had a lot of information that we needed … We had never seen any crashes in any of our internal tests before, but now we could finally reproduce the error and that meant that we could find it and correct it. More updates for Apex Legends are scheduled for next week. Frechette did not provide specifications, but posed several problems that Respawn is working to fix. These broad problems are described below.
FPS capped at 144: It was supposed to cap for 300, but an error keeps it at 144. We are aware of and look at it and I will provide an update whenever I can.
Get legal problems: we are aware of and test a solution locally.
Audio Problems – We've heard feedback about many issues you've reported. Working with audio teachers to solve the things we can answer next week.
Apex Legends Season 1: Wild Frontier Campaign is now available for purchase, like the game's first play-up character, Octane. The battle costs 950 Apex Coins – around $ 9.50 USD – and offers a variety of rewards, such as cosmetic skins, state trackers, new Legend voice lines, and Apex Coin and XP drops. Each reward is unlocked by earning XP and climbing the 100 levels of the campsite. It is unfortunate that there are no challenges that Fortnite Battle passes, but fortunately, Apex Legend gives you the opportunity to earn enough Apex Coins to buy next season.
You don't have to put the Apex coins in the next pass, though. Instead, you can use them to buy the new character, Octane (although he can also unlock with Legend Tokens). The ninth legend in Respawn's fight royal game, Octane is all about being the fastest. His tactical gives him a boost of speed at the expense of his health, while his ultimate throws out a launch pad that can propel Legends and objects through the air. In order to continue driving, Octane cures passive him over time, provided he is not in battle.
Apex Legends is available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
