NASA uses HoloLens to develop Titan Space Mission, call it a "game changer"

NASA has been one of the early users of Microsoft's HoloLens Augmented Reality solution, and in a new video, has revealed how the headset and its accompanying mixed reality solutions have helped to develop a forthcoming mission to Titan, a Saturn moon , virtually in virtual reality without any real hardware.

The headphone is used primarily to develop the Dragonfly dual-rotor helicopter, which jumps to the surface, allowing the team to evaluate and adjust the design in real time.

With the actual mission that only flies in 2025 and the landing only set in 2034, mixed reality can be the only way the current generation of scientists get to see the entity in action.

See how HoloLens helps NASA make their ideas a reality.
