Usually, video game glitches are the last thing you want – but this Mortal Kombat 11 glitch isn't so bad – in fact it's pretty cool.

Since the game launched earlier this year, players have reported running into what's in it been dubbed the Finish Him / Her glitch. FINISH HIM / HER appear on-screen, leaving you the most famous or video game finishers: the Mortal Kombat fatality.

But sometimes the words FINISH HIM / HER you not disappear, if they're supposed to. Instead, they remain on-screen, even while your character plays out their victory cut scene. Here's how it looks:

This is hardly the worst glitch in the world – and it's not particularly widespread, so I don't want to overplay it – but players have noticed it sometimes ends up looking the part, with the words FINISH HIM / HER displayed behind their character, who is doing some cool winning pose to camera.

Players started taking screenshots at just the right moment, and took to the Mortal Kombat to share them with the community. Some of the snaps look good wallpapers!

Here's a collection of some of the best I've seen in recent months.

Thought the Finish Him glitch was cool, so I made this from MortalKombat

Got one of those cool FINISH HIM glitch shots from MortalKombat

Caught the "Finish Him" glitch at the perfect moment. Make his eyes white NRS. from r / MortalKombat

I found the fatality screen glitch for really cool screenshot too from r / MortalKombat

"FINISH HIM" bug with Noob Saibot from r / MortalKombat

"FINISH HIM" with Erron Black from r / MortalKombat

Developer NetherRealm could always patch this, by the way, but I don't like it, as this glitch is largely harmless and has created a fun community drive to share screenshots.

Not every glitch is bad, eh?
