Microsoft has released an update for certain devices that display a message that contains information and instructions on how to configure privacy settings that were not displayed correctly during a Windows 10 installation.
An error in Windows 10 versions 1709, 1803, and 1809 did not cause the localization, diagnosis, and enhancement of personal information entry and entry settings to appear during the initial Windows setup.
For devices affected by this error, Microsoft will offer KB4489219 (1709), KB4489220 (1803) or KB4499918 (1809) through Windows Update.
When this update is installed, Microsoft says a message that contains instructions on how to find and configure these settings.
"The small portion of the customers affected was receiving this update and will see a message that will provide additional information about t his privacy settings affected and guidance to change the settings to the customer's preferences."
