Microsoft said it is investigating an authentication bug with Office 365, which prevents users from accessing some of the company’s most widely used services, including Office.com, Outlook.com and Teams.
The company’s status dashboard said the issue started at. 14:25 PT and has mainly affected consumer users across the globe in the last few hours. Some public users may also be affected, the company said.
In a series of tweets, Microsoft said they were trying to fix the problem but were forced to roll back its changes after the fix failed.
Kl. 17:40 PT told Microsoft that they “experienced improvement of more services” after previous “redirection of traffic to alternative infrastructure to improve the user experience, while we continue to investigate the issue.”
But that leaves millions on the US West Coast, and users in Australia are still unable to access their online services.
