Marilyn Manson surrenders to police over arrest warrant in New Hampshire Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson has surrendered to authorities in response to an arrest warrant in New Hampshire for the alleged assault of a videographer in 2019.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, surrendered to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on July 2 following an agreement reached in late June between his attorney and the New Hampshire authorities regarding the ruling, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Manson was released without bail.

The alleged assault took place in August 2019 at a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire. Manson is charged with two counts of simple assault. If convicted, Manson faces a possible prison sentence and up to $ 2,000 in fines.

Howard King, Manson’s lawyer, said in a statement about the incident to Rolling Stone that Manson likes to be “provocative on stage, especially in front of the camera”.

“The misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a claim from a local videographer for more than $ 35,000 after a small amount of saliva came in contact with their arm,” King said.

“This whole allegation is ridiculous, but we remain committed to cooperating with the authorities, as we have been doing all along.”

Separately to the indictment, the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Officer’s Office in Los Angeles investigated Manson for alleged domestic violence incidents that took place between 2009 and 2011 while Manson was living in West Hollywood.

In February, actress Evan Rachel accused Wood Manson of “terrible” abuse while they were in a relationship. Four other women subsequently came forward with accusations against Manson, which Manson has all denied.

Following the allegations, Manson has been dropped from his record company, talent agency and the recurring role he had in the TV show American Gods.
