Numerous documented video clips of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, spread on social media depicting her as if she were drunk.
A three-minute clip of the Pelosi-speaking event with the Center for American Progress from Wednesday was uploaded on Facebook by a group called "Politics WatchDog" was seen over 1.8 million times with nearly 40,000 shares. The video shows that she often wipes her words and her voice is disturbed. Copies of the clip were also found on Twitter and YouTube, which the latter had removed.
According to a report by The Washington Post, experts believed that the original video was lowered to 75 percent from its original speed, and that its pitch was also manipulated to present her under influence.
Computer science and digital forensics expert Berkeley Hany Farid said there was "no doubt" the video had been manipulated.
