Magic Johnson responds to LA Day 1 signings

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson is certainly psychedelic with his former team’s latest acquisition after their 2020 championship season. The Hall of Fame point guard was set on the first day with free agency and was extremely pleased with the purple and gold’s latest move.

Magic took to Twitter once again to give its stamp of approval to the Lakers̵

7; aggressiveness in the first hours of free agency, resulting in signatures from Montrezl Harrell and Wesley Matthews. He also praised the team’s previous deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder to turn Danny Green into Dennis Schroder.

It’s not hard not to share Magic Johnson’s joy with the Lakers front office right now considering they’ve just addressed all of their roster needs so far. Schroder gives them another playmaker and a knockdown shooter that can take the ball out of LeBron James’ hands, while Matthews is the perfect 3-and-D guy to complement the team.

The surprising signing of Harrell, meanwhile, caught everyone by surprise. The reigning winner of the sixth man of the year gives the Lakers another big body and an upgrade over Dwight Howard, who left the Lakers for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Meanwhile, the Lakers’ business is probably far from over, as they may also lose Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley in free agency.

Magic, on the other hand, is certainly on point with its observations that the reigning champions are getting younger for their bid for a repeat in 2020-21. Superstar Anthony Davis has already committed to signing again with the team and is just ironing out the details of the length of his new deal. The Lakers need to make more moves in the coming days and we can expect more tweets of approval from Johnson.
