"Fireworks are emotional. Music is emotional. We wanted great sound to complement fireworks … I want everyone to feel a sense of pride and are happy to celebrate here with us," said Susan Tercero, executive producer of Macy's Fireworks Show.

"Unfortunately, there are no toilets up the highway. There is very little or no shade up the highway, so we ask to be hydrated or you need to be hydrated when you get up to the drive," said Deputy Director James Kehoe .
NYPD added that there is no credible threat to public security.
