LOS ANGELES – A man who rode a bicycle with a knife and slashed the faces and neck of nine people in Los Angeles has been accused of several crimes.
Friday, the Los Angeles County District law office says that Lenrey Briones is facing seven counts of aggravated chaos, two counts of attempted chaos and a number of attempts at second-degree robbery. It is not known whether the 19-year-old has a lawyer.
Investigators say Briones left his victims, including a 13-year-old, with sore wounds. A victim required 20 masks. Stefany Coboz told KNBC TV that she had a deep gash under her ear and the attacker turned and laughed when he rescued.
Prosecutors say in one case that he was trying to take a victim's purse.
He could face life in prison if convicted on all counts.
