Loba’s hitbox in Apex Legends has some discrepancies that make her a much easier target to shoot than her character model lets – which poses an unintended problem for the latest character.
The Season 5 legend has been a fan favorite for her fun-ability kit, rewarding aggressive toys and access to loot mechanics that keep her well equipped, even in the early stages of a game.
Although supporting character has a leaner profile for her appearance than others, her hitbox does not play by the same rules. Near the middle of her model, opponents can get rid of a bit of inaccuracy as the shots can still land.
They took her to the firing area and aimed down just below her left elbow, but significantly away from her upper body. However, firing a shot damaged Epic Body Shielded-Loba for 13 hp.
Repeating this method to the other side of High Society Thief produced the same results when a shot fired from her character model managed to deal the same amount of damage.
Although the example of using a P2020 is basically harmless, a Kraber shot that has barely landed can usually be more problematic to deal with in the later stages of the game.
Respawn are generally quick to patch up these kinds of bugs when they get wind of them. Devs previously dealt with similar issues like this one to legends like Octane, Gibraltar, Wraith and more.
These kinds of discrepancies can affect how players approach Apex Legends, especially if multiple characters have the same type of problem.
“Seriously, I don’t know if I’m just overthinking it, but hit boxes for each character have made me change legends so much this season,” said user ‘demiweeps’. “I feel like playing Bloodhound, if I’m face to face with a Wraith / Lifeline, I get ruined so often, but it doesn’t really matter if I play as a minor character, but then I feel like I being lasered by people 300 meters away. “
Loba players who wonder why they get smashed in the game could also have run into the hitbox issues. If there are persistent reports of the error, you can expect Respawn to look into the problem soon.
