LOS ANGELES (AP) – A woman said she got more than she negotiated at a restaurant in Los Angeles after a live rat fell from the ceiling.
Alisha Norman from Houston said she celebrated her birthday with friends and looked at women's football match in Buffalo Wild Wings in Westchester Thursday when the rat fell on a table next to her.
"We have adult drinks," Norman said, "and we hadn't even ordered yet. And we hear a noise. Our eyes are coming up and suddenly a rat comes down."
shot the leader up the rat using two plates and dumped it in a trash can.
Norman said she chose not to order any food that night, but some of her friends did so and the manager covered the bill.
The restaurant made a statement and accused the rat of construction that took place at the outdoor mall where the restaurant is located. The restaurant said it was closed indefinitely for cleaning and sanitation.
