LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The Health Department of Lexington-Fayette County has announced the city's second flu-like death in the season.
Health leaders say a person in their 60s with underlying health problems has died after catching the virus.
The Health Department recommends people to get a seasonal flu shot to prevent the spread of the virus. You can get the flu shot at the health department at. 9am to 3pm Monday ̵
Kentucky's first flu-like death occurred in Lexington in early October.
Lexington reported 27 influenza-like deaths in the previous season.
