Leslie Jones says she does not ‘miss’ the lead role on Saturday Night Live



She worked as a writer and performer on Saturday Night Live from 2014 until her departure in 2019.

And Leslie Jones revealed in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that she is not missing out on starring in the long-running sketch comedy series.

‘I do not miss it. All in all, the 53-year-old comedian who received three Emmy nominations during her run insisted.

Jones ‘journey on Saturday Night Live began in 2014 when she joined the show’s writers’ room.

After five seasons, Jones decided to leave Saturday Night Live before the start of his 45th season on NBC.

She told Entertainment Tonight that her time on SNL made her a ‘better performer’.

And Leslie is ready to showcase her performance as host of ABC’s reboot of the beloved game show Supermarket Sweep.

She described the concert as ‘a comedian’s dream come true’ in her interview with ET.

Supermarket Sweep first premiered on ABC in 1967 and was hosted by Bill Malone until the finale in 1967.

The games show was restarted on the network in 1990 and was famously hosted by David Ruprecht.

Despite the end of 1995, Supermarket Sweep was revived in 2000 with Reprecht, repeating its role as host until 2003.

In a recent interview with People, Leslie opened up about her excitement over the series and her personal favorite part of being a part of a game show.

‘This one was really special because I wanted to give money to ordinary people. If you give someone $ 100.00, it’s the biggest “” God bless you “you could ever give someone,” the actor explained to the outlet.

She added: ‘I want people to see that it is still possible to win.’
