Langone, who voted for Trump in 2016 and gave him credit for improving the economy, the president said “exhausted everything” as he tried to overthrow the results of the 2020 election. “Biden is president,” Langone said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
“Last Wednesday was a disgrace and should never have happened in this country, and if it does not break the hearts of all Americans, something is wrong,” Langone said, referring to the siege of the Capitol. “It definitely breaks my heart. I did not sign up for that.”
The billionaire said he will focus on supporting Biden in any way he can.
“I will do everything I can from day one to make sure I do my part to make Joe Biden the most successful president in the country̵
Langone said the country is facing “major problems” with reference to the pandemic, rising debt, crumbling infrastructure and an underfunded public school system.
“This is the American people who are using Trump as a sign of expressing their anger and disgust at the system,” he said.
