Kehlani gave birth to a baby girl on her home at the weekend, announced the singer Monday. The baby, called Adeya, is Kehlani's first child.
"This weekend, our angel arrived sound and perfect in every way in our bathroom at home," she wrote in an Instagram post.

Oakland native – full name: Kehlani Ashley Parrish – chosen to have a natural home birth with the support of midwives of Oakland Patrera Midwifery who specialize in helping queer people and people with color with home births.
Javie Young-White, Kehlani's partner, said she gave birth "standing up, unmedicated, in my arms when we spoke her first word to [the child]."
The 23-year-old artist described the birth as "the absolute hardest and most powerful thing I've ever done."
"Grateful beyond words" she continued. "In love besides comparison" and thanked "everyone who sent good wishes, love and support in all forms while waiting and working to bring the Adeya land."

The couple have not yet submitted pictures of the child.
White went to Twitter on Monday to joke that "no one cannot have the date and time because her birth chart is confidential."
Kehlani announced her pregnancy in October, saying she had always dreamed of being a mother and loved "the idea of a great, healthy, happy family."
