Judge rejects former Knox County middle school teacher’s request for legal redirection

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Millions of Americans are still waiting for a new stimulus control, but these discussions are still in the air. However, a local organization is stepping up. The Knoxville Area Urban League is looking for eligible families to donate money to.

Means of assistance for mortgages, rentals and utilities are available to residents of the counties of Knox, Sevier, Anderson, Jefferson and Blount. This is a grant so it does not have to be repaid.

The money comes from the CARES Act, passed earlier this year to provide support to communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The state allocated $ 150 million to nonprofit organizations in Tennessee to help support the communities they serve.
