Josh Richardson is supposedly led to the Philadelphia 76ers in a sign-and-trade deal involving Jimmy Butler, so the guard wanted to send a final message to Miami Heat fans.
Heat draft Richardson with the 40th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and saw the rugged defender stand out for one of the best two-way players in the league.
Fans in South Beach will miss Richardson, and Josh will forever be grateful for the heat and their loyal fans:
Miami, thank you. Thanks for giving this kid and the opportunity to otherwise I am not sure he would have gotten. Thanks to the coaches and my teammates. Thanks to the fans for embracing me .. My years have been good and I will never forget you .. always love.! 19 pic.twitter.com/MOxuW6xKWH

Richardson completed his heat career by an average of 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 259 games while shooting 42.5 percent off the pitch, 36.8 percent from bow and 82.1 percent from the free throw line. Miami rewarded Richardson with a four-year, $ 42 million contract extension in the summer of 2017.
This last season for Heat, Richardson put 16.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Miami did not want to move Richardson to Butler in the early 2018-19 season when Jimmy requested trading from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Heat president Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra, however, are big fans of Butler and could not let the opportunity to acquire him again pass them on.
Richardson is now participating in a Sixers team, which has a really good shot at winning the Eastern Conference next season. Their core is headlined by Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris.
Sixers along with Richardson also added All Star Grandmaster Al Horford.
