It wasn't so long ago that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle seemed to come together as well. After marrying their princes, the women were in a unique position, few could understand, and many believed that they would really commit to it. But then came the reports of a royal feud, and now no one really knows how much they like each other or if they even come across it.
While some royal fans are choosing sides, there is a requirement that Queen Elizabeth II has done so too and made clear who she likes better. Here's what Her Majesty did that could prove she prefers the Duchess of Cambridge over the Duchess of Sussex.
Her Majesty's Relationship to Middleton
Middleton dated Prince William for a while until he suggested. It gave her time to know the queen and other royalty before joining their family. When she did, Middleton followed the rule book and showed Williams grandmother that she could count on her. The Duchess also does not speak much to the press, which often must be a relief to Her Majesty after all that happened to Princess Diana.
Middleton predictability and representing the royal family as well is something that certainly allows the monarch and why she has been very fond of her.
Queen Elizabeth II's relationship with Markle
Markle began directing Prince Harry years after Middleton married William and almost immediately, Queen Elizabeth began breaking the protocol for her new grandson.
Before the former actress himself officially joined the family, Markle was allowed to stay with the kings at Sandringham property at Christmas. This is something that was not done for Middleton or Camilla Parker Bowles or even Princess Diana when they were engaged, which made Markle the only royal fiance to score that invitation.
In addition, Harry's bride got involved in many engagements and royal affairs before they tied the knot, which is usually not the case again. But because the Duchess of Sussex is still new to the family, it does not seem that the Queen sees her as she sees the Williams wife.
Expert says this shows that the Queen likes the Duchess of Cambridge more
No one can really tell which mother-in-law Her Majesty likes more unless you are a body language and has analyzed the Queen's behavior around the two women. Judi James is one of those experts and explained that you can tell in the Queen's behavior when Middleton is about to come with her more like a good friend.
"Kate was always a slow but stable integrator in the royal firm and her little traditional approach and made very few, if any ripples in continuity, seem to have resonated with the queen, who increasingly seems to treat her as a friend as a sister-in-law, "James The Express told, adding that" As Queen, Kate is a talented mask "that uses body language techniques that seem to keep her inner feelings hidden."
She continued, "Both women have perfected a social smile and non-verbal traits that are ideal for the job they do but without encouraging any frenzied interest from the public. You rarely see if you ever see a woman look anything but perfect, so we assume that their life is too.
"The Queen's sudden broad and authentic smile said it all at the Chelsea Flower Show this week: it appeared from nowhere when she appeared that Kate is approaching, registering immediate heat to the future queen while Kates part-smile part-laugh response showed its true excitement to host its grandmother.
