Days after the US struck a military strike on Iran, the country's semi-official media reported on Saturday that Iran was performing a "defense ministry" convicted of spying for the CIA.
"The execution rate was executed for Jalal Haji Zavar, a contractor for the Defense Ministry's airline organization, who spied for the CIA and the US government," said the Iranian military, according to a Saturday report from Iran's news agency.
It was unclear when Zavar was executed. His government contract was completed in 2011, after Iran's intelligence unit discovered "documents and espionas" in his home, reported ISNA according to Al Jazeera.

The news of the execution comes days after Iran descended an American drone flying in shared international airspace, according to US officials. President Trump tweeted on Friday that he was "cocked and loaded" to reciprocate, but waived a strike for a few minutes.
