PORTLAND – Spectrum services have been restored to northern New England after an internet outage hit a large part of the state on Monday night.
Spectrum had identified two separate fiber breaches in its network affecting video, telephone and Internet services to customers in Maine and New Hampshire, a spokesman for the Maine News Center said. The several separate breaks have affected its backup services.
The outcome affected city council meetings across the country, with Portland and Rockland city councils canceling their meetings. Portland City Council rescheduled its meeting for April 12.
