BENTONVILLE, Arkansas – An infant formula sold only at Walmart was voluntarily recalled on Friday because of the potential presence of "metal foreign matter" in a single lot of the product, Perrigo Company said in a news release.
The recalls a single lot, or 23,388 containers, of the 35-ounce, 992-gram containers or Parent's Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-based Powder with Iron.
No adverse events have been reported to date, the company said, but the recall was made out of an abundance of caution vote from a consumer report. The recall was also made in consultation with the US Food and Drug Administration.
Perrigo said consumers who bought the product should look at the bottom of the package for Lot Code C26EVFV with a "use by" date of February 26, 2021

Two other products were also remembered this weekend by their manufacturer; Unflavored Peñafiel Mineral Spring Water at Keurig Dr Pepper and Starkey Water at Whole Foods. chronic diseases "when ingested at extremely high levels, according to a press release from the organization. Lab tests found levels of arsenic that were higher than the FDA's standards for bottled mineral water.
All unflavored Peñafiel mineral spring water bottles "including 600 mL and 1.5 L of all date codes" have been with, according to the press release. Consumers can return the product to the store they purchased from and receive a full refund.
Whole Foods' Starkey bottled water also showed unsafe levels of arsenic in their product, according to Consumer Reports.
