I could see Final Fantasy XIV's new Big-Headed Cactaurs trying to silence all day

With their distinctive cactus appearance and signature, Cactaurs is one of Final Fantasy s most iconic creatures. The top-heavy Gigantender introduced in Final Fantasy XIV 's latest expansion, does the best it can to live up to that heritage blessing its giant plant heart.

Cactaur named Sabotenders in Final Fantasy XIV using the Japanese name to distinguish them from the endless parade of cactus-shaped creatures and calls that have arisen since the creatures debuted in Final Fantasy VI . Garden (rock garden, I suppose) Black Sabotenders is a common sight on the MMO continent of Eorzea. Gigantenders are native to Shadowbringer's expansion land The First and are sweet enough that I just want to sit in Amber Fields and see them almost toppling all day long.

I spent an hour getting the perfect animated GIF from the big, awkward creatures in their natural habitat. I first failed the distance between Gigantender and my character because of the unfamiliarity with the first person camera. I was too close and a fight began.

The battle gave me a close-up of the creatures.

But I could have done without the heartbreaking sweet squeaks and squeals Gigantenders spouse when they die.

These great cactus girls do not deserve to be on the receiver of my Xena-style Dancer weapon. We should preserve them and their species so that they can flourish and perhaps one day perfect as the cactus forms.

Except for this giant red. It is a milking party who only jumps every four to six hours and rewards players with a bunch of treats. It must die. The rest get very careful hugs.
