7, 2019. REUTERS / Joshua Roberts WASHINGTON ( Reuters) – Representatives' House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Saturday a forthcoming proposal from President Donald Trump to provide temporary protection for some unrecorded immigrants in return for building a wall on the southwestern border with Mexico "unacceptable." Trump's plan also does not make "good faith efforts to restore the security of people's lives" and it is unlikely that it will pass either the Parliament or the Senate, Pelosi, a Democrat, said in a statement. Trump's plan is part of an attempt to win an agreement with Congress that would reopen several partially closed federal agencies.
