Patchy mist is possible again overnight. There will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the morning on Sunday. A break in the activity is expected in the afternoon, with the possibility of some clearing. The humidity level gets higher, which can lead to heat index values in the 90s. Further showers and thunderstorms will be possible later in the afternoon and in the evening as a cold front approaches from the west / northwest. Any storm on Sunday can be severe to severe, with harmful winds, possible hail and heavy rain.
The possibility of showers and storms continues Sunday evening and Monday as the cold front south through the state.
The cold front will probably stand near southern Wisconsin. Additional showers and storms will be possible Monday night and Tuesday as a wave of low pressure tracks into the region.
A break in showers and storms will be possible on Wednesday, but more activity is probably Thursday and Friday as another cold approach and traces through. The front of the front should bring cooler and less humid weather to the area at weekends.
Have a safe Sunday! Meteorologist Mike Breunling
