Winter is coming, and apparently it is the revelation of the exact day when Thronespil finally returns to the small screen for the premiere of his eighth and last season.
If you want to find out when we will see the long-awaited conclusion of the epic fantasy series about Westero's seven kingdoms and who will finally sit on the iron throne – turn on HBO around noon. eastern or so this Sunday, January 13th. Just before True Detective starts his third season at. 9 If we really are really lucky, we may even get some new footage or trailers, even though it is just as likely that HBO will extend the excitement and not reveal everything at once. HOP got something wild about it today, as the channel's official Twitter account shared a screen shot of what should look like an iMessage conversation between someone labeled "boss" and probably an employee. This conversation is pointing to a disclosure of the date of GoT's return this Sunday. Check it out yourself:
As a reminder, HBO has already said the show will definitely return in April. We are already on record here as speculation that April 28 is a good bet on when the show returns. "Bet" is the operative word, as there is something necessary wiggle room to account for until we get the official date.
The eight episodes of True Detective beginning on Sunday take you through March 3 (assuming there is no Sunday skip). Assuming a seven episode show, the week after True Detective ends without a Sunday break that takes you through April 21
