Harvey to run 10 IndyCar races with Meyer Shank in 2019



Meyer Shank Racing embarks on its third season of IndyCar Series competition with England's Jack Harvey and will contest 10 of the 17th rounds on the 2019 calendar.

Harvey's No. 60 Honda will take part in nine road / street course events, plus the Indianapolis 500. Petersburg and continues onto Circuit of the Americas, Barber Motorsports Park, Long Beach, the Indianapolis Grand Prix, the Indianapolis 500, Road America, Mid-Ohio, Portland International Raceway and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

MSR will continue its technical alliance with Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.

"The partnership with Meyer Shank Racing has been so mutually beneficial, and I'm excited to see it continue and grow," said Arrow SPM co-owner Sam Schmidt. "Being able to share data, resources and personnel only helps both teams' efforts when we all strive to win more races. I'm really looking forward to another great year with MSR, Mike [Shank] and Jim [Meyer] working alongside everyone at Arrow SPM. ”

Harvey expressed his gratitude for the expanded race schedule for MSR, and hopes to become a full-time IndyCar driver if objectives are met.

“We are extremely excited to extend our program,” said Harvey “That has always been the goal for 2019 and it is amazing to achieve that and continue to grow what we are doing. I have to thank Michael [Shank]he has a lot of work and of course thanks to Jim Meyer for his continued support. Without any of those guys, in their own way, I wouldn't have received the opportunity.

We are incredibly lucky to have two companies that believe in us and the vision of the team. Now it's our turn to get out on track and do more races and hopefully get some better results. I believe in the team and in myself to do what we have to do. We are just about to confirm this expanded schedule so we can deliver results for everyone. ”
