This morning, PlayStation Haven uploaded a YouTube video Sort Jesus star Gerald “Slink” Johnson and Shawn Fonteno repeat their roles as Lamar and Franklin.

No one knows how to hurt you as friends and family.
While this was the logical end point of the joke format, model changers and sometimes even amateur voice acting have replaced Lamar with everyone from Kermit the Frog to Yakuza main character Kazuma Kiryu over the last few months. Again, many of these videos are NSFW, but there’s just something about Spongebob Squarepants says “yee yee-ass haircut” asking to be monitored.
It’s hard to locate a key detail or moment that caused this scene to strike a chord with creators and online audiences. It’s all fun, which is a huge plus, but Lamar, who complements an almost lyrical rant with a song insult, also helps. Personally, I always look forward to Franklin’s confused “What ?!” in the end, especially when Lamar has been replaced by one so out of place as Darth Vader or Snow white.
Whatever the case, we have at least one more thing to distract us from Hell World.
