Georgia football legend and College Football Hall of Fame selection David Pollack chose Alabama to beat the Bulldogs in Saturday night’s titanic clash.
“Nick Saban built this Alabama dynasty with Kirby Smart by his side,” said ESPN College GameDay host Rece Davis. “Kirby has come within an eyelash of tops king twice.”

Pollack, along with College GameDay analyst Desmond Howard and Lee Corso, said he believes Crimson Tide will make it three in a row over Kirby Smart in the 8-game game at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
Kirk Herbstreit was the only panelist to choose Georgia.
“I think (Nick) Saban coming back gives them a shot in the arm, I think everyone is motivated,”
“I think Georgia’s offense is too young at this point right now. I don’t think they can do enough to really benefit from Alabama’s defense. I think Alabama will win.”
Earlier this week, former Georgia quarterback and current CBS analyst Aaron Murray also selected Alabama to beat the Bulldogs.

Howard, on Saturday’s ESPN GameDay show, had a similar approach to Pollacks.
“Alabama has an average of 51 points in a game, they have playmakers everywhere on the field,” Howard said. “I know Georgia is great in defense, but they do not have enough DBs to cover all the expanses that Alabama has. Plus, I think Nick Saban will train, I go with Bama. ”
Popular ESPN panelist Lee Corso, shown remote control on top of a large fake item, also picked Alabama to win.
Herbstreit said new UGA offensive coordinator Todd Monken would be the difference for the Bulldogs.

“I’m going with Georgia, I’ve been thinking about this back and forth,” Herbstreit said. “Georgia’s defense, I think, is the right deal.
“I think Todd Monken is capable of coming up with enough offense, as far as herd formations, trips, just unusual looks to try to confuse the Alabama defense, and I want to go with Georgia.”
