Genshin Impact Developer sues players who leaked 1.2 Closed Beta Content

Genshin Impact Sued Players Leakage

Genshin impact developer miHoYo has announced that they have sued players who leaked the 1.2 version closed beta content.

In a statement released on the game’s website in Japanese (translation: DeepL), miHoYo says some players who participated in the upcoming version 1

.2 beta had leaked information about the new content online.

As this was in breach of the notification agreement they signed, miHoYo declares that they have “Issued an advice to the players concerned and has taken action against the breach of the agreement.” DualShockers reports that two players were the ones who leaked the content, specifically mentioning the players being sued.

The developer further explains that leaks like this and from previous test servers “Not only destroys our work, but also removes the joy of travelers experiencing a new version for the first time. For us and our travelers, this is not a pleasant result. ” DualShockers also reports on it “Almost everything” about version 1.1 leaked before launch.

The statement closed with miHoYo repeating that they would take “Strict measures” against breaches of contract and for fans not to spread leaked information.

Step into Teyvat, a vast world teeming with life and flowing with elemental energy.

You and your siblings arrived here from another world. Separated by an unknown god, deprived of your powers and thrown into a deep sleep, you now wake up to a world that is very different from when you arrived.

Thus begins your journey across Teyvat to seek answers from the Seven Gods for each element. Along the way, prepare to explore every inch of this wonderful world, gather strength with a variety of characters, and unravel the myriad mysteries that Teyvat possesses …

Climb any mountain, swim across any river, and glide across the world below and take the jaw-dropping landscape every step of the way. And if you stop to investigate a wandering Seelie or strange mechanism, who knows what you might discover?

Use the seven elements to unleash elemental reactions. Anemo, Electro, Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, Dendro and Geo interact in every possible way, and Vision wielders have the power to turn this to their advantage.

Do you want to evaporate Hydro with Pyro, charge it with Electro or freeze it with Cryo? Your mastery of the elements will give you the upper hand in combat and exploration.

Feast your eyes on the world around you with stunning art style, real-time rendering and fine-tuned character animations that give you a truly immersive visual experience. Lighting and weather change naturally over time, bringing every detail of this world to life.

Let the beautiful sounds of Teyvat draw you in as you explore the expansive world around you. Performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the soundtrack seamlessly shifts with time and gameplay to match the mood.

Stay together with a different cast in Teyvat, each with their unique personalities, stories and abilities. Experience your favorite party combinations and level up your characters to help you conquer even the most terrifying enemies and domains.

Play with friends across different platforms to unleash more elemental action, tackle difficult boss battles, and conquer challenging domains together to reap rich rewards.

When you stand on top of Jueyun Karst and take the rolling clouds and the vast terrain that stretches out in front of you, you may want to stay in Teyvat a little longer … But until you are reunited with your lost sibling, how can you rest? Go out, travelers, and start your adventure!
