General Motors reported revenue in the first quarter on Tuesday, which fell 7 percent from a year ago, but said buyers flock to its sports cars and pickup trucks.
"We are bullish on pickups and expect to get sales momentum during the year," said Kurt McNeil, vice president of US sales activities. "We are installing the capabilities of Flint to build more total HD pickups, more crew cab models, multiple dualies and diesel models, all in response to reseller and customer demand."
But the sale of traditional passenger cars continued to slip and pull the car manufacturer's total.
