T he last time we saw Melisandre, she foreshadowing her and Vary's death at the end of Game of Thrones Season 7. Mens season 8 of Thrones game ] has not brought her up or suggested that she would come at any time soon, it could all change in Episode 3's Great Battle of Winterfell. Melisandre promised that she would be dying in Westeros in mind, a brazen new theory explains that the Red Woman is already in Winterfell in disguise and ready to fight the white hikers.
Redditor u / jt clark claims that the red witch may already have made his season 8 return in episode 2, we did not understand at that time.
"She used her ruby to glamorize herself as this little girl with a firewood," they write. [1
If the theory turns out to be true, it means Melisandre knew that Ser Davos and Gilly would convince her to hide in the Winterfell cribs for safety. This complements the theory of the Night King, which turns the deceased Starks, and the women and children hide nicely in the cribs. Considering that Melisandre has no combat training, her powers would be much better utilized against the Night King's plan. Although how she wants to use them to help is some guess.
It is possible that she might even surprise us all by bringing the dead Starks back to life to fight for the good.
Melisandre has played a crucial role in Game of Thrones but she seemed proud that she had brought Jon Snow and Daenerys Targary together in season 7. Instead of calling it a day and going permanently to Volantis, Melisandre suggested that she had seen her own death and that happened in Westeros. Yet the loyal servant of the Lord of Light may have gone to Winterfell to help in the battle against the Night King and his army because she already knows that this is where she will die. Knowing that she is not well-liked uses the glamor to walk freely through Winterfell.
This theory is just as likely and wise to share. It goes without saying that the little girl, Melisandre uses to pamper herself, has a distinct grayscale mark on one side of her face. Shireen Baratheon had the same year, and Thrones Game drove that point home using Shireen's distinctive musical theme in season 8 scene.
It's a brand that definitely got Ser Davo's attention. When Melisandre had a hand in Shire's death, it is both oddly poetic and cruel that she might use the scar in her glamor. The Red Woman, however, always makes decisions based on her interpretation of the desires of light, and if you use the mark as part of the apron, Ser Davos got enough attention to deliberately send her to the crypt, then it is.
Perhaps Melisandre feels guilty of Shireen's death and helps Stannis for so long, or perhaps she makes it a last chance for redemption in Jon Snow's eyes. Regardless of her reasons, Melisandre returns in Winterfell's opinion. If she is to die on this continent, the battle of Winterfell will surely be her last stand (as it will be too many) and when she also predicted that Varys would die in Westeros (and he happens to be heading to Winterfell's crypts as well), it would be a strange but appropriate reunion before their death.
Play of thrones Season 8 flies Sunday at. 21 East of HBO.
