According to the status page, service to the game went down at. 5:51 pm NPT January 28. Another tweet at 8:13 pm NPT suggests Epic is still working to solve this problem .
The status page now shows Fortnite's "Game Services" and "Login" is experiencing "Degraded Performance", in addition to the Epic Games store. As for the cause of the outbreak, an epic game spokesman said to watch Fortnite's social channels, but they have nothing else to share at this time.
pm. 8:34 PT, Epic Games updated Fortnite status to "Monitoring" with services returning to "operational".
"We observe recovery for Epic Games services as a result of the fixes we have implemented and will continue to monitor to ensure full recovery", read Epic's status page.
