On Friday morning, a former R&B singer R. Kelly surrendered to the Henry County authorities eight months after the police issued an arrest warrant against him, the Sheriff's office said.
James Mason was wanted after a terrorist threat and acts after he allegedly threatened a family in Henry County in May 2018, AJC.com reported earlier.

Mason is accused of telling Tim Savage: "I will hurt you and your family when I see you, I'm going to get you, I must kill you," according to a Henry County Police Incident Report.
Savage is the father of Joycelyn Savage, which BuzzFeed reported last year was one of several girls who were "held against their will in a cult" by one of R. Kelly's home.
Savage and his wife, JonJelyn, are found in the Lifetime docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly" that focused on the 52-year-old entertainer and his alleged abuse of women.

Savage told a policeman Mason threatened while on a three-way call with another man, as he said, heard Mason do the threats, police report said.
JonJelyn Savage also said she heard the end of the conversation with Mason, but she didn't hear the threats.

Mason waived his first legal appearance and the bond was set at $ 10,000 under conditions, the Sheriff's office said. He must stay away from Savages and cannot travel outside the United States.
"Let it be a message to R. Kelly's staff that we are not being bullied or threatened," says Gerald Griggs, Savages' lawyer. in a statement to Channel 2 Action News. "We will continue to prosecute anyone and every threat to the security of the Savage family.
