The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the bizarre incident unfolded after an unidentified woman crashed into her car around 6 p.m. 9.30pm on Beach Boulevard, WJAX reported.
Deputies said the woman pointed a gun at people in the other vehicle involved in the crash but did not pull the trigger until she ran to a nearby Sam̵
Officials said the woman then turned the gun on people on a food truck, but again did not pull the trigger before going to the entrance of the store, which was closed. She then fired several shots into the store and broke the glass. She then entered the store through the broken glass. She walked around the store, which still had employees inside, and fired several rounds before walking through a side door. Employees ran dry when they realized it was shots.
Investigators said the woman never came in contact with any employee. Officers arrived and the woman dropped the gun and was taken into custody.
She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries investigators said. It is unclear if her injuries occurred in the crash or when she walked through the broken glass.
No one else was injured.
Investigators said the woman faces several charges, including aggravated assault and burglary with a firearm.
