“How bad must things be for you to be in favor of a national lockdown?” Asked LaPook Fauci in the clip.
“They’re getting really, really bad,” Fauci said. “Firstly, the country is tired of restrictions. So we want to use public health measures, not to get in the way of opening up the economy, but to be a safe gateway to opening up the economy. So instead of having an opposition: open up the economy [to] get jobs back or shut down. No. Put ‘close’, away and say, ‘We will use public health measures to help us get safely to your place where we want to go. ”
