It has been almost 24 years since the frame 90's rom-com Clueless landed in theaters. On March 23, 2019, at C2E2 in Chicago, four of the largest cast members reunited to talk about the movie. Here's what we learned from this historic event.
Alicia Silverstone had problems with Cher first
The movie's main character, Cher Horowitz, is a spoiled Beverly Hills teenager with a seemingly endless closet. It was a little odd for Silverstone, who said she had "a green t-shirt and a pair of jeans that I wore every single day."
"Only when I read the manuscript did I think she was very materialistic and annoying," said Silverstone, but she could quickly find the good in the character, at least partly because of the author Amy Heckerling's script. "Her script was brilliant and I laughed all the way through," added Silverstone.
Donald Faison celebrated his 21
st birthday during the movie
Faison was very fond of Clueless from the first time he read the manuscript. "It was something I really wanted to do, he said." I was a big fan of John Hughes movies, and it was an opportunity to be in a genre that I really really enjoy. So yes, it was a no-brainer. "
In addition, Faison talked about how his character wore the hangers (" The hangers were fake … I don't know I had any really shaken teeth? ") And noted that he came up with a very important line: When Murray gets head shaved and he tells Dionne: "I keep it right." "I didn't get paid either," he added.
Breckin Meyer channeled other popular movie characters to play Travis
"I had never been tall, never Smoked grass or something similar when I played Travis. "Then he borrowed from Spicoli, Sean Penn's character in Fixed Times at Ridgemont High as well as" Keanu Reeves in everything "specifically referring to to actors' characters in Bill & Ted film and in Parenthood
Paul Rudd, Brekin Meyer and Donald Faison lived together
When the film began, most of the players knew each other , except for Brittany Murphy and Mey But Meyer, Faison and Rudd lived together for a short time, as Rudd explained because he and Faison were both based in New York, so they crashed with Meyer.
However, Rudd was slightly removed from the other characters when he did not act in the school scenes and added that one of his favorite scenes was at the wedding at the end. "I was a little out, but I loved working with Alicia and these guys," Rudd said, bowing to Faison and Meyer.
Will they ever become a reunion or successor?
Faison and Rudd agreed that Josh and Cher would still be in real life and added "if we were ever to make a sequel to …" left to the audience. A fan later asked about the possibility of resuscitation, which they agreed that Heckerling should be involved. Meyer added: "I'm sure they will at some point try a restart or something with a new cast."
