Elon Musk asks Twitter for ‘SNL’ ski ideas in the midst of setbacks

Elon Musk seems more concerned about hitting “SNL” skits than facing setbacks.

The controversial Tesla CEO asked fans to share their sketch ideas as he prepares to host “SNL” on May 8 – after some of the show’s stars expressed anger over the nabbing of the concert.

“Throwing some ski ideas at SNL. What should I do? ”The 49-year-old asked his 52.5 million Twitter followers over the weekend.

Musk followed up the tweet with three of his own tracks: “Woke James Bond,” “Baby Shark & Shark Tank merge to form Baby Shark Tank,” and “Irony Man – Defeat Villains Using the Power of Irony.”

;

Some commentators suggested ideas, including: “Extremes found your Tesla Roadster sent into space in 2018 and trying to figure out what it is,” “You play Chris Hansen on” Catching a PP Loan “with Ross Gerber,” and , “Something about how it’s all a simulation,” while many of the responses to Musk’s tweets were real singers.

“You meet SNL writers using the same motivational techniques you use with $ TSLA engineers. Elon: I need this done tomorrow, otherwise you’ll be fired. SNL Writer: In your dreams a – hole, ”replied one user.

Another followed, “* some ideas for the author’s tone * Elon pauses” You can go, please. “Who else has an idea? We optimize for laughter. Typical laughter targets for target groups are stagnant at 68%. A good idea is one that makes us 70-72%.”

Musk’s comments during the COVID-19 pandemic have been polarizing – as when he called the pandemic “stupid” in March 2020. Two employees at the Tesla plant also claimed last year that they were fired after being home because of the virus, though Musk said attendance was not mandatory.

In recent weeks, he said a “bunch of people are likely to die” during his planned Mars mission.

After “SNL” stars, including Bowen Yang, expressed regret over Musk’s hosting concert, a source told Page Six that show director Lorne Michaels would never force a cast member to work with Musk if they did not want to.

“When we talk historically, if a cast member has been so unhappy, they don’t have to do it,” the source explained, adding Michaels “will never get them to do something they don’t want to do.”

No cast members have been pulled out of work on the upcoming show with Musk – so far.
