After 36 hours it has finally been done: a Division 2 team on the console has beaten the new Operation Dark Hours raid. The party was first confirmed by a Division 2 player and member of the raid team on forums and later supported by the game managers.
Reddit user Inkist revealed his team's success on the division 2 subreddit on Saturday afternoon. He, along with players called Bloodshy, Tico79, Jaqev, Handsome Lancer, AZPrimeminister, I am bat, and H2K Predator was able to finish Operation Dark Hours on PS4, making them the first team to do it on the console . There is also at least one team that beat it on the Xbox One for about 17 hours of total playing time.
Inkist says the team took cat slaps between attempts at Division 2 raid, and he reckons the final Razorback boss took 20 hours to complete on his own. The last meeting has proved to be considerably difficult for players Division 2 players because of the slowdown of the frame that occurs with so much activity in a large room. It's particularly bad when Razorback launches all of its drones just before the injury phase.
Division 2 unfortunately plays no useful insight into how to beat Division 2 raid on console. It seems that the obvious answer is just for luck, but optimizing a building that focuses on injury and health / armor seems to be the key. Because there is not much time to take out enemies or bosses before the player goes down, any talent that requires specific scenarios for proc is useless. It is better to focus on talents that increase the damage immediately.
Still the fact that it took 36 hours for a team to beat Division 2 raid on the console while pc players are now blowing through it in 20 minutes suggesting some changes are needed. How accurate Massive Entertainment can balance the raid for console players without making it too easy for PC players is unclear, but we would be surprised if the developer didn't say anything on Monday. It is clear that there is a difference between the experience on each platform.
Division 2 is now available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
