Disney announces park policy changes on prams, smoking, ice cream

Some upcoming changes to Disney Parks in Florida and California could apply to you when considering your family vacation plans.

Fund of exaggerated prams, carts, smoking and ice cubes?

Pay attention.

This week, Disney officially announced changes to its park policies on all its features, including Walt Disney World and Epcot in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Disneyland and Downtown Disney in California, its water parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Bay Lake. , near Orlando.

Smoking Changes

According to WDW News Today, there will be no more smoking areas inside the parks. Designated smoking areas will only be outside entrances and in designated areas of the resort hotels – but not in your rooms or on balconies. (This smoking policy had already been in place.) This rule includes vaping.

Stroller Changes

Stroller sizes will also be enforced and may not be greater than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. This change is a reduction in the size of 36 inches allowed.

This is not too much of an adaptation for families with little ones. Because it includes most prams – including some twin joggers.

If your stroller or double jogging stroller exceeds the size limits, you can rent either black in the parks.

Trolleys like these at a Cooper City 51st annual Founders Day parade will not be allowed in any of Disney's parks from May 1, 2019. They were already banned, but the company will not strictly enforce its cart rule.

Another difference is that Disney will now "strictly enforce" it is no wagons or hauling carts, like the Radio Flyer policy. These changes help ease the traffic load in the parks, said theme park insider. Movement will also hopefully eliminate the aggressive use of SUV-sized strollers – basically the playpens on wheels – and carts to offend people out of your way.
