Whether the annual winter event known as The Dawning, or the Halloween fortress called The Lost Festival, Destiny 2 typically reflects the real world seasons and holiday of the game that players experience outside the science fiction shooter. Now, it seems that love will be back in the air soon, with Bungie having confirmed the return of Crimson Days by revealing the upcoming Valentine's Day theme event start date.
According to a recent post by Bungie Community Manager Chris "Cozmo" Shannon, Destiny 2 's Crimson Days this year was originally slated for February 5, but the studio has decided to move the time frame slightly to make them run from February 12 to February 19. Cozmo also stated that those who missed out on the 2018 Crimson Days will be able to get these exclusive prizes attached to the event, as the upcoming event is "very similar to last year".
While it looks as if Crimson Days will not be too different this time, it looks as if Bungie has some plans to shake things up a bit in the event Destiny 2 by introducing "a few new rewards and ways to achieve them". That said, however, the study is close to the case as it does not reveal more details about the content of Crimson Days 2019 until it gets closer to the event's official start date.
Crimson Days 2018 not only saw the inclusion of a 2v2 Clash playlist in PvP, but also a lot of different rewards. For example, there were Crimson Engrams, an emblem and exotic Ghost shell opening after playing five Crimson Days PvP matches, an ornament for the exotic Wardcliff Coil to complete a raid activity and a special emote to end Nightfall.
