NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders will be Jackson State̵

7;s next football coach.

New Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders does not earn the same amount as a coach that he did as a Hall of Fame cornerback. But he will still earn a large sum.

According to documents obtained by Clarion Ledger, Sanders will earn $ 300,000 annually from December 1, ending December 1, 2024. Sanders net $ 1.2 million from its base contract.

Sanders is also due to the following bonuses based on incentives written in the contract:

  • $ 25,000 for each victory over an FBS opponent
  • $ 10,000 to win the SWAC Eastern Division
  • $ 30,000 to win the SWAC championship
  • $ 50,000 to win the Celebration Bowl
  • $ 5,000 for a team larger than 970

Sanders also has provisions on ticket sales in its contract. For every home game in which Jackson State sells more than 30,000 tickets, Sanders pays 10% of the proceeds from those sales. Sanders will also be paid 10% of season ticket revenue if Jackson State sells more than 10,000 season ticket packages in a season.
