Death by daylight‘s latest story focuses on an unexpected character: Bill Overbeck. That Left 4 Dead veteran who first came to Death by daylight in 2017 gets his time in the spotlight and players get to see his origins as a soldier.
Behavior Interactive, the developer of Death by daylight, has slowly revealed a whole multiverse of lore behind the horror game. There has always been some weird contrast in the game’s list; some of the characters are completely original, like a murderous K-pop star, while others are licensed.
Licensed characters like Freddy Krueger and Stranger Things̵
However, it seems that Bill gets his own set of Tome memories, which are short fiction and animated films. These memories show things from before the character was brought into the fog and became one Death by daylight character, and it highlights both killers and survivors. Bill’s memories seem to be a cruel look back at the Vietnam War, which means that if anyone wants to gather all the Left 4 Dead lore, they’ll have to check the story out.
The latest history theme, Forsaken, also includes new story content for the plague, an ancient priestess in Babylon. The memories along with the challenges in the game for the players are set to launch on May 5th.
