After being viewed negatively by Older brother fans for most of the season, Dani Donato Briones made a move that put her in several people’s good grace – which put Tyler Crispen on the block. But now that Ian Terry is on the block, that positivity may not last long.
Dani Donato Brione’s previous seasons
She was first on as first on Big Brother 8 and was second and lost in the final to his father, Dick Donato. Dani and Dick were part of the season’s “rivals” twist. She is one of the house guests with the most wins in a season, grabbing two Head of Household competitions and five Power of Veto competitions. Despite all this, it was not enough for the jury to vote for her to win the entire shebang.
Both Dani and Dick returned to Big Brother 13. Like one their first season, they were together again this time. This season it was for the “duos” twist. When Dick had to leave the competition due to a medical emergency, Dani received the old key that allowed her to stay until the last ten. Dani first allied with returning players, but was then allied with Kalia Booker and Porsche Briggs. She was eliminated during the first double draft of the season. During season 13, she was the first member of the jury.

Why her popularity plunged with fans during ‘Big Brother 22’
Briiones’ first season without playing against his father has been a mixed bag. Instead of allying with other “old school” players, she decided to ally with newer players who have done well in the modern game, such as Tyler Crispen and Nicole Franzel. Dani’s popularity started to tank when she started acting like she’s on the side of Da’Vonne Rogers and Bayleigh Dayton, when she really wasn’t. She was a big influence as the two were up on the block, resulting in Dayton’s expulsion.
A daily poll conducted by Older brother fansite, Big Brother Daily, has consistently seen Dani be one of the least favorable housewives, despite coming into the season as No. 1 favorite. Earlier this month, she was penultimate in the poll for four days in a row and placed herself under housewife who already was eliminated.
Aside from this, Briones has also been called out by fans due to micro-attacks against Dayton and Rogers as well as her role in spotting Terry’s autism.
Her HOH government started well, but did not hold its breath
Briones won its first house boss of the season last week. She first nominated David Alexander and Kevin Campbell, but always kept in mind that she could field her ally Cripsen. The two disagreed on some things, and Briones did not seem to mind setting him up.

When Alexander moved away from the block, Crispen was set up and Briones told him he was a farmer. However, a wrench was thrown into the plan when Rogers won the veto and planned to take Campbell down. Briones did not want Rogers to trust her anymore, so she decided not to convince her to veto.
By now, the players in Briones felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defense and not risking too much going forward. Because of this, she has risen to No. 12 most recently Big Brother Daily poll, which is her highest ranking since August 17th.
But Briones is now starting to show that she does not want Crispen to go and will send a fan favorite, Terry, home, whom she nominated after Da’Vonne took Campbell down.
If Briones reviews her campaign to keep Crispen instead of going with her original plan, she may be able to start going downhill with viewers again.
