Dallas Mavericks agree to trade with New York Knicks for Kristaps Porzingis



The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to trade with the New York Knicks for All-Star forward Kristaps Porzingis, league sources customs ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.

The Knicks and Mavericks have scheduled a trade call with the league office to finalize the deal, sources customs ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

The trade also includes the Knicks sending Courtney Lee and Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Mavericks in return for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr. and DeAndre Jordan, league sources duty Wojnarowski. The deal may also include draft assets, sources said.

Sources told ESPN that Smith, a 2017 lottery pick who is averaging 12.9 points and 4.3 assists per game this season, had taken issue with some of Carlisle's tough coaching tactics and that the 21-year-old wasn't pleased with his role playing primarily off the ball due to Doncic's emergence as an All-Star caliber playmaker
