"The risk that the hepatitis A virus spreads from an infected employee to customers in a restaurant setting is low. The concern here is not the restaurant. It is with a food retailer having hepatitis A infection," Dr. Linda Bell, MD and State Epidemiologist. The restaurant received an A-rating from the DHEC at the last inspection carried out on February 5, 2019. As a precaution, vaccination in these cases should be considered for persons who were exposed during the time the food retailer was contagious. "
