NEW YORK (WABC) – New York Attorney General Letitia James issued a consumer warning about illegal COVID-19 vaccine charges.

James reminds New Yorkers that all coronavirus vaccines are free.

She urges anyone accused of a shooting to contact her office immediately.

The attorney general says her office is focused on protecting residents from both the virus and the scams associated with it.

Prosecutors in Italy: WHO executed lies on spiked virus report

Italian prosecutors say a top official from the World Health Organization lied to them about a pointed WHO report on Italy’s coronavirus response that revealed private communications on Friday that are likely to generate a UN health agency. Prosecutors in Bergamo asked Dr. Ranieri Guerra, at the time WHO Assistant Director-General, is under investigation for allegedly making false statements to them when he voluntarily agreed to be questioned in November. Guerra was the WHO’s liaison with the Italian government after Italy became the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe last year.

Navajo Nation issues home orders after reported cases
The Navajo Nation has issued an order to stay home over the weekend after reporting 26 further confirmed COVID-19 cases. Recent figures bring the total number of cases on the tribe’s reservation, which includes parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah, to 30,239.

Indian states warn of COVID-19 vaccine deficiency
Several Indian states are warning the federal government about COVID-19 vaccine shortages as another increase in cases threatens to flood the country and its already weak medical infrastructure. Authorities in New Delhi and in the Punjab and Rajasthan states said on Saturday that they would not be able to continue vaccinations in the coming days unless stocks were replenished. Earlier in the week, western Maharashtra, the epicenter of the country’s outbreak, closed some vaccination centers and turned people away due to inadequate vaccine supply.
