Press Release from Humboldt County Joint Information Center:
Nine months after the first case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in Humboldt County, the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus stands at 730, after 19 new cases were reported today.
Dr. Humboldt County Health Officer Teresa Frankovich said there is still time for slow transmission of the virus, but it will require a nationwide effort. “If we do not follow the safety guidelines that have been in place for several months, especially as we enter Thanksgiving, we will see more illness in our friends and loved ones,”; she said. “This is a time when we must take responsibility for protecting and caring for each other.”
