Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Humboldt County today. The total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus is 4,405 after two previously reported cases were determined to be false positive and removed from the count.
The vaccine section of the Data Dashboard has been updated with the latest information from the California Immunization Registry (CAIR), which reports that 121,713 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the county, and 48.6% of residents aged 12 and over are in currently eligible for vaccination is fully vaccinated.
A total of 69,414 Humboldt County residents have received at least one dose. This number represents 51.1% of the total population of the county and 58.3% of the eligible residents.

Vaccination clinics are scheduled for Sunday in Eureka. Walk-ins are welcome at all public health clinics, or people can schedule in advance via MyTurn.ca.gov.
Public Health has partnered with the True North Organizing Network for Sunday’s clinic, and Spanish-speaking staff will be ready to assist community members as they go through the vaccination process. See below for this week’s schedule and a list of vaccines on offer.

The one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine is approved for individuals 18 years of age and older. The Pfizer vaccine is approved for people aged 12 and over. A parent or guardian must accompany minor children to the clinic. Smaller consent forms are available online in English or Spanish and can be printed out and completed for each minor child before they arrive at the clinic.

Many local pharmacies also offer COVID-19 vaccines, and most pharmacies allow walk-ins. Check availability at vaccines.gov, or write a zip code to 438829 to find a participating pharmacy nearby.
