Press Release from Humboldt County Joint Information Center:
No further cases of COVID-19 were reported today, marking the first day of October with zero cases. The last day with zero positive reported tests was September 18th. Humboldt County’s total confirmed cases continue to count 544.
Dr. Humboldt County Health Officer Teresa Frankovich said residents should continue to focus on COVID-19 prevention measures, while emphasizing that activity and exercise are also an important part of public health.
“This is a good time to get out and take advantage of warmer weather,”; said Dr. Frankovich. “Getting out regularly to walk, cycle, hike or participate in other low-risk activities can increase energy levels and improve both your mental and physical health. We are so incredibly lucky to live here in beautiful Humboldt where we can enjoy being active outdoors while easily getting away and following all COVID-19 safety precautions. ”
